What has been your most memorable moment or time here at F&M?
After my freshman year, I traveled with our soccer team to South Africa. The team takes a trip every three years to South Africa for the purposes of education, community service, and playing soccer against local clubs. It was an unforgettable team bonding, learning and service experience.
What did you enjoy most about your time at the College?
I have come to value the deep friendships and memories that I have formed with my soccer teammates, other friends, coaches, and professors.
What advice would you give to rising seniors?
Find the right balance. It's a simple suggestion, but one that I think is very important. F&M students are typically very busy juggling many commitments, but it is crucial to evaluate one's time spent studying, with extracurricular activities, and with friends to find a healthy, productive balance. And don't stress about post-college life. Things will work out. I highly recommend everyone utilize OSPGD (Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development). In almost all fields, they undoubtedly have connections and suggestions that you might not have ever considered.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan to apply to medical school and hope to begin in 2018. For the year off between F&M and medical school, I am hoping to be involved in global health and/or community service in a Spanish speaking country.

Student-Run Magazine Showcases Cultural Criticism
At Franklin & Marshall, your ideas may start in the classroom, but they won’t be contained there. For students in Associate Professor of English Erik Anderson’s Pop Culture Writing course, this meant putting what they learned into practice by creating an online magazine, Touch Grass.
